Anthology's Open Mic Poetry Night

April 2026 is USA’s 30th annual National Poetry Month—the largest literary celebration in the world! How can we NOT get together for such an occasion?!

Let’s gather the evening of April 23 at Gaslight Grocer & Wine Bar to celebrate the power of storytelling with an evening where community members take the mic to share:

- Original poems

- Favorite poems by others

You are welcome to come simply to listen and enjoy the company of friends. But the more voices, the better! Please bring a favorite poem (or a whole collection of them) with you. If you know now that you'd like to take the mic, please fill out the form you'll receive after you RSVP or open_in_newemail Fabre to secure a spot in the evening's lineup.

And rest assured, we'll encourage spontaneity. We'll have poetry books on hand, ready to inspire your participation.

You can also:

- Sip a drink or two from the cash bar (cash and Venmo only)

- Enjoy music from local entertainer Shaun Easton

This event is free, with the option to donate so we can continue offering community events that support arts and literature. Reserve your spot now, then meet us at 127 North State Street for a poetic evening to remember.
