Sasha Debevec-McKenney is the author of Joy Is My Middle Name (W. W. Norton, 2025), winner of the 2026 Dylan Thomas Prize in Poetry. Her poems have also appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, and The Yale Review. 

A 2020–21 Jay C. and Ruth Halls Poetry Fellow at the University of Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, Debevec-McKenney is currently a creative writing fellow at Emory  University and lives in Decatur, Georgia.
